Effective Whiteheads Skin Care Treatments

  • Always wash cosmetics off every night. Excess products can fill pores clogging them further and causing more acne.
  • Use products that contain salicylic acid. This ingredient helps to loosen clogged pores and prevent future pimples from forming.
  • Clay facial masks help to absorb oil and can dry up pimples. Use only once a week as these can irritate the skin.
  • Try products for several weeks or more before giving up. Most acne treatments take a while to work and many people stop using them just when they are starting to work.
  • Use a good skin care routine. Using products and properly cleansing will work with most acne if you continue to use it each day.
  • Steaming the face can help to open up pores and unclog them.
  • Pore strips, commonly found in most drug stores, can help unclog pores that are plugged up.
  • Working in places that are hot and humid or places that use hot oil (such as fast food restaurants) can contribute to acne breakouts. If you must work in this environment always rinse your face after work.
  • Change your pillowcase nightly to reduce the amount of oils and bacteria that touch your skin.
